I would encourage strategic replacement parts- the soft parts, then cables, chain rings, ( pinned and ramped even)
various springs.
brake cable adjusters
pre cpsc brake quick release levers.
bearing sets.

As much as I like the look and the simplicity, I can’t see buying a full group. Now if they did the crank with a BCD that would allow something smaller than a 42, and brakes had some modern pad compound......

Given the small volumes, it would probably cost more than a modern Campagnolo group. There's no way that I would step down in performance and suffer an increase in price, just for retro-styling that I was never that impressed with in the first place. The sole advantage for me, would be that it would replenish the dwindling and outrageously expensive supply of high wear items such as chain rings, bottom bracket cups, spindles, cones, hub races, headset cups, crown races, etc. So, I might buy some parts, just to keep some bicycles OEM in appearance.
Edit: Having said that, it may be financially feasible, given the recent popularity of L'Eroica type events and the retro-style steel frames from Italian manufacturers. If the old tooling exists, I wouldn't be surprised to see Campagnolo test the market with a limited edition gruppo. Maybe there will be a 40th anniversary edition of the 50th anniversary gruppo in 2023? The gruppo name could be Campagnolo 4050.

Part of what makes the old stuff cool is its age. A replica - even one made by Campagnolo- just wouldn’t be the same. Ymmv.

There is still plenty of old Campy stuff on the market in new or very good condition. Even paying exorbitant prices would still be cheaper than a new re-issue gruppo. I spent a long and patient time on craigslist collecting the Campy record equipment for my Raleigh Mk iv. I generally paid < 50 per item. Wheels 60, Crankset 35, BB 25 brakes 50, seatpost 25, RD 35, FD 15.

It wouldn't attract me as a buyer but certainly entertaining to see. Especially for those building a brand new 'steel lugged' frame.
Odd enough, I contemplated buying an Italian made aftermarket lever kit that resembled Campy's Cambio Corsa but specific for 3 speed IGH.

I agree, for sure I'd take a Ti BB, to put on my Vitus 979 with the Super Record crank in place of the Campy steel BB I have in there right now. It would be nice to have another vintage weight-weenie part readily available for a decent price. With the dodgy reputation that renowned gear masher Laurent Fignon gave it, the Ti BB axle will go well with my glued-together frame.

Would it sell? Probably not. Or only to the L'eroica crowd. They'd probably be better off licensing the name and calling it the Campagnolo Super L'erecord for sales...

Would probably be reasonable in your ask to have 130 mm BCD, (OK, Campagnolo, 135 BCD) fro smaller inner rings.

Yes I probably would. I would like to see which versions of some components that might be offered within this 'new' gruppo, such as the brake callipers, seat posts and the crank arms. And, I'd like to see some of the reliability issues sorted out as well, such as the pitting problems associated with the alloy headset cups.
Along with the Campagnolo SR gruppo, I wonder if I could also get Columbus to re-introduce the Cinelli Supercorsa using old SLX tubing with a relaxed 72/3 degree geometry along with their Cinelli Campione del Mondo bars and XA quill stem....and Alfredo Binda (Extra) laminated toe straps....and old cork bar tape (not splatter)? A relatively simple request don't you think?

I'd settle for replacement top nuts for the headsets. Never saw one that wasn't all burled up, including the one on my Alan/Guerciotti.

I'd like to see them re-pop an aluminum, square taper crank with 110 BCD crank bolt circle that looked like the old NR, maybe in a modern forging. And of course some of the soft parts.
that said, there are a lot of spares around.
