Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

She must be on a Caad. Doesn’t look like that. Not a Caad 13 either. I’ll start an investigation and report back.

Do you need to start a "chicked" thread?

I can understand the e-bikes for the casual rider, that bike is not designed for a casual rider.
I always thought that if I was to get an e-bike it would be like a road bike with drop bars and somewhat light compared to the cruiser looking things. You have to think that the things that save our energy like light weight and aerodynamics would help save the battery, too. That Cannondale has a 250w motor but I think I would drain the battery in 25 miles of climbing/hammering.

A friend has a Trek that looks like a cruiser and it has a 500w motor. He carries 3 batteries and the thing weighs 65 pounds but he says he can do a century on it.

I'm not sure there was ever an RS that actually looked good. That was always the ugly cousin of the Rs and Ss and Ps.

Huh. How did you even have an assumption about who it might be? Is there a strong local woman that's whispered about at the bike shops and cafe stops?

I'm sure that there some stronger-than-me women in my metro, but I can't say that I've ever come across one on the road, which is a pity.

Theres a couple actually. One my father in law knows really well. I’ve caught sightings when driving around with my family but this isn’t her.

I rarely see people when I ride during the week, because of the time I ride. So it peaks my interest, also want to see if they have a better route than the current one that I am doing.

That is... a special level of awful, yes. The short and upturned stem with spacer stack makes me wonder exactly what the rider looks like on it.

Soloist/ S1. At least the price is more realistic (-ish) but while I've grown OK with exposed cables after getting frustrated with integrated, that routing is awful - it looks like a sailing ship's rigging. And would look better with an entirely different cockpit, really.

short dentist who is no longer flexible enough to ride it? Possibly hasn't ridden in years given that they want a high price for an old bike.

Wondering if we should renege on our Thanksgiving invitation to my brother. He's coming from a lower prevalence area and will travel by POV, but it seems like a bit of a risk for all concerned. Sad!

Lots of talk about jackets. No mention of a certain jacket is puzzling.

In other news, i rode after work in the dark, cold evening. Wearing a certain jacket. I was perfectly comfortable.

I'm kind of wishing my sister's invitation for Thanksgiving in OH will be reneged.
