Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? Yeah, a crank with more rounded edged probably would complement the frame and its curves better. The Phil doesn't look all that bad, just could look better on a different bike

This. Same reason I don't like the stem. All I see is a giant weld on the side and the frame is purposely weld free.

I agree. I found it more comfortable to pucker up your rear end if you ever find yourself riding on one involuntarily.

Chubby McFatso chain stays aren't my cup of tea either.

Yeah, the dropouts look kinda pretty, but functionally all they do is make it a pain in the ass to use a wrench. My Felt has kinda similar dropouts and they're the one thing I hate about that frame.

The color of both those bikes would be better on a garbage truck or the inside of a factory or prison. The darker one is marginally better but I still can't get past the tapered head tube.

The saddle on the darker one is nice though. Anyone know what it is?
