Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Cannondale R800 I'd help!

Cannondale r800.
I just bought a r800...serial number is 05312922883.
Can anyone help me identify the year it was made? It has (im assuming) the original shimano 105 groupset on it.
thanks

Deja Vu Same question was asked here 11 years ago

What year Cannondale r800 is this?

https://www.bikeforums.net/road-cycling/545590-what-year-cannondale-r800.html

My answer would have been to look for the date code on the inside of the cranks. It's usually a Shimano part and there is a key online for Shimano date codes.

No idea about serial #s or date codes, but fwiw my wife used to own an R800 that she bought new in I think 1994 or '95. That might narrow it down for OP...maybe.
