Panniers for Racktime Topit

Just wondering if anyone's got any recommendations for panniers that fit the Racktime Topit front rack? Thanks in advance.

There was someone on this forum about 4 years ago that had that rack, I think he used some small Ortiebs. He has not posted on this forum for over three years and his previously posted photos disappeared when he did.

Since that rack puts the weight up high, whatever you get, it should probably be small. That is all I know, I have not tried to put any panniers on that rack myself.

If you have a wide canti brake like the CR520 or CR720, you should make sure that the pannier would not interfere with the brake.

That rack has 12mm diameter rails, so bags must fit them - small (front) Ortlieb bags will fit 8-16mm rails with included rail clamp inserts. Other brands have similar feature, so check compatibility before buying.

On my Racktime Topit, I have "Ortlieb Sport Roller City," which are the same size and shape of the "Sport Roller Classic." These fit well.

Right now I have one of the racktime universal adapters, a Snap-it, on what the maker called a "transit box," so I have a racktop bag for the rack. I have a generic $5 drybag that sort of works with the rack, but I was thinking of a couple of front panniers to carry light stuff. The rack does sit quite high, but the way my AWOL is set up right now, it's not too bad. Still, I may just look for another Snap-it adapter and put it on a rando box type bag. The rack can only hold 10 kgs, so it's good for light but bulky stuff. Plus, there's no rush now. I was going to have a couple of small tours this summer, but now everything's changed.
