Is there a table correlating frame numbers with time groups? I've got frame numbers for a couple friends (and other people) I'll be watching, but without pestering them further, that doesn't tell me when they'll be starting.

The RUSA spreadsheet someone put up for calculating times knows what times all the groups are -- the first letter of the frame number is the group.

In other news, I'm happy to see Drew Buck in the system. I crossed paths with him in 2015, and that particular PBP wasn't going well for him, and he ultimately DNF'd. He's a cool dude, hope this one goes better.

Hopefully they can keep up the pace for another day. I know I'd need a nap right about now.

I see that Jan Heine has made it to Brest. I'd be surprised if he isn't also shooting for Charly Miller time.

Early DNF for me. Felt sick and could not eat or drink somewhere after 160km. Had a slow suffering ride to the Control at Villaines and stopped there.

+1 to everything @GadgetGirlIL said. I have some friends who DNFed in 2015, but were still able to have wonderful trips in France afterward.

Smoking fast!

And we have a Charly Miller finishing time! His riding partner's results haven't posted yet.

52+ hours at that pace with no sleep is really unbelievable.

Looks like Fred stopped for a nap in Loudeac. I don't think he'll make it.

It is a good thing @kingston is better at interpreting the status updates than I am!

And I'm just in awe of what it takes to get through a course like this within the time limits set. I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed that some of my friends who are much slower than the Charly Miller guy will make it by the 90 hour cutoff.

Jan Heine just got to Dreux at 54:33 elapsed time. Think he'll make Charly Miller this year?

I liked this 30 minute report on one rider's 2015 PBP. It was very interesting, even though I'll never think about riding events like this.

And he has a youtube channel with 35 short PBP tips videos:

I'm following him on Instagram. He is back at the start now:

To all my Instagram friends: After struggling through 135 miles of PBP yesterday, and facing the prospect of no sleep in Loudeac if I hoped to get back on a reasonable schedule, I decided to end my ride in Villaines-la-Juhel. I spent the night there in a nice, quiet hotel, and today I’m on an impromptu sightseeing trip to Le Mans. Having a drink at a sidewalk cafe and will walk up the steps to the magnificent cathedral here shortly. Not the adventure I had planned, but a great day nonetheless. More to follow.

I'm surprised Eric also stopped at the same point as I did; his videos were a tremendous help in getting me prepared for the ride. Its apparently very good weather too this time, no rain as far as I can tell. I guess at least he's enjoying the rest of his vacation.

I can think of over a dozen reasons of what I could have done, shouldn't have done, and be able to continue the ride but I guess that's all to late now. Still feeling the sting of it though.

Watching my other Malaysian friends, many are still going strong and have a chance to finish by 90h. Some surprising strong riders have stopped though, and I'm worried about one who's trailing very, very far back but she's still trying to get to Brest. Her last known point was Loudeac at 47:32:56 so, hoping to hear from her on our own private WhatsApp group soon.

(Edit)
Ok she's still at Loudeac.

Some of the TCR people are amazing. Darren Franks already completed, albeit not at his original target of 48h. Fiona Kolbinger last known position at Fougeres, but I think she's just slowly taking her time.

Fiona started some 3 hours before fellow ARA Sachsen member Björn Lenhard (fastest rider in PBP2015, dropped out of TCR#7), but then probably took a nap before Loudeac (445 km) and he caught up with her as they arrived at Loudeac together. Since then they have passed all controls except for the one after Brest (Carhaix-Plouguer) together. I think there's a good chance they'll also finish PBP together. Go, Fiona and Björn!
