Value of 78 Jack Taylor Tourist
Looking for opinions on this 1978 Jack Taylor that is for sale near me. Heard about it from a friend but dont know what hes asking yet. It says Tourist on the Reynolds 531 decal.
Campagnolo Super Record derailleurs, TA cranks, Cinelli bar/stem, Honjo fenders, Weinmann concave rims, Jack Taylor front and rear racks
Anyone have experience buying or selling one of these 70s JT? Or even just an educated guess?
Thanks in advance!

This bike is in great shape with an interesting set of components. I wouldn't have chosen a super record RD for a touring bike but the TA crank gives you a lot of flexibility. The rear wheel may be shoved all the way back to help the RD handle a little larger freewheel.
Are those Normandy hubs laced to Weinmann rims?
I'm not certain how you value one of these but I reckon it's worth $700-$800 as it sits. Maybe the Jack Taylor name means that this is worth more though. British bikes, and British touring bikes in particular, tend to command a premium.
This Woodrup has been siting on CL for a while at $600 and it's a good looking bike:

There's a Holdsworth mistral frame that hasn't budged for a while at $300.
There's a whole bunch of crazy high prices on Brit Reynolds 531 bikes on eBay but I figure most of that is just dead inventory.

Looks nice and in good condition, my guess would be in $1,000 - $1,200 range.

I'd have guessed 1400-1600...and if you told me you paid more, I wouldn't think you did poorly. Love this.
