Somebody scrapped my scrap bike!

I don't really have much to add to that. I have a bike that had a rusted through chainstay so I've been using it for parts. Went into the back yard today because I was gonna salvage the cranks and spindle and it was gone (along with the rusted metal chair)!!! I mean I would have given them to whoever wanted them if I had gotten 3 more parts off!
Just wanted to ***** to people who might understand mostly.
Thank you that is all.

I'm Sorry. They didn't scrap it, it was STOLEN. Unless It was next to a trash can and they thought it was trash, there is no excuss. Again, I'm sorry for your loss.

It could be that someone just threw the stuff away if it looked like rusty old junk because they got tired of looking at it lying there. Aesthetic standards are a major cause of waste. Many people fail to see the value left in aging and partially disabled things, including people, sadly.

Two months ago my loaded touring bike was stolen in broad day light from in front of a library in a town of 25k. I live on my bike, so the few personal possessions I had left were on it. Kind of puts this in perspective, eh?

But I too scratch my head often about this society I live in and am from.

Gurge, it apparently fulfilled it's destiny. And please watch your language.
