Rocky Mountain Ritchey

As found.

Bought this last year sometime and finally cleaned it up to rideable condition. Did an 8 km shakedown and have a few things to tweak but otherwise like it.

Cheers.

Brad

Someone ordered up pictures of an old Stumpy?

Old Stumpy.

Found'er on Kijiji for $95 Cad 3 days ago, paint is rough, but seat post, stem are free, shifts great, bearings and BB are smooth.

Apparently it's an 82 Stumpjumper Sport, one year older than me.

old school rear racks are the only type of accessory that I find the newer stuff better with more side rails to prevent the panniers from hitting the spokes.

1988? GT Timberline

I picked this up at auction awhile back for $45 as I recall. New tires, new seat, new wheels and it would seem to have a new BB. (I tossed the old rack on, I needed something and it was in the bin) I still haven't figured out the advantage/disadvantage to the triple triangle, but the ride is nice and the bike does what it's supposed to. 😁

I like this one, as it's a real Diamond Back, as opposed to the newer Diamondback.I also like the way it's set up. Did you add the ahead set, and what shocks?

Never seen one of those before. That's pretty sweet! Must be a story with the photo location, too.

Location is the old shell of a building in Statesville, NC just around the corner from First Flight Bikes (former home of the MOMBAT collection). If you look at the MOMBAT website, you'll see the same location as the backdrop for many of the photos of museum bikes.

Niceeeeee

Get thee a Deore XT or American Classic seatpost and it'll be a thing of beauty. What's the post diameter?

That's the plan, Uno tis but a placeholder. diameter is 28.6, and I've had a tough time sourcing one locally.
