A Newbie From Olney Illinois
Hey all... just started riding a bike again after 30 years and looking forward to getting as much out of it like I use to at my age. Glad to be aboard....

Welcome. I don’t know your age but 30 years since riding puts you at least 35 Check put the 50 and older forum too.

Thanks for the welcome and no, the fenders was an addition to all the toys on her. They are Bontrager fenders and the LBS retrofitted the tail light mount since the ones they had in stock weren’t the new ones with the mount already there on the rear fender. The Trek store did it for free too.
