New bianchi volpe in the house.

Just wondering if anyone has an idea on model year. It has a complete rsx group, a one inch threaded headset, mavic ma2 rims and the serial number is, gr812053 as near as i can
tell.

RSX places it late 1990s, while the serial number is in the grey region for a 1998-1999 model. However, the colour defines it as a 1998 model.

Here's a pic of mine up on the tip of the Traverse Peninsula. Bought new around 1997/98 I believe. Mine was a dark green color.

I bought it for touring and it was a great bike for that. Sold it because I was only using it about once a year.

I'll concur with the early 90's. Volpe's are a great, versatile bike--the proverbial 50 blade Swiss Army Knife of a bike!
