List of Youtube Touring Documentaries/Vids

All -

Over the last year or so, I've really enjoyed watching some of the longer touring videos or documentaries on Youtube. They have been pretty motivational to me, are great to get a glimpse into a tour or the different styles of touring, and are pretty interesting. I looked a bit for a thread or list of these, and figured I'd start one as I couldnt find one. If anybody has any great videos or docs, please list them as I'd love some new ones to watch. The longer the better! Here are some of my favs:

The Man who Cycled the World: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8kBMGbHanLU
A Bike Ride out West: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AejWq3LcHkc
Japan by Bicycle: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0qAZ1yhS2Yk
Duzer across America: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xgrGdt_7Q0k
Westbound & Down: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ptHEFQzt7s

I'm just looking for more stuff to watch since I can't be out right now!

I loved this episode of "Cycling the Americas" because I've driven from La Serena/CTIO to Paranal on the Panamerican Highway and had an amazing BBQ at the Observatory.

These are generally shorter clips so perhaps not quite what you're looking for, but there are over 2600 bike touring videos in Vimeo's "WorldCycle Video" group:

Videos in "WorldCycle Videos" on Vimeo

Tip: to search the group for a keyword, use the icon of a magnifying glass UNDER the banner image. The main search window searches all of Vimeo.

Best wishes,
James

This is my buddy, Iohan's documentary, of his current tour - from the Arctic Circle, to South America. It's called, "I Want To See The World", and this part is called, "The North."

Loved the BBC Series by writer Tom Vernon "Fat Man on a Bicycle" seen on PBS over here . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=41t23WGvEUM

Tom Vernon - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia it was not about athleticism, but about Local cultures (and food).

I get the message. "Video unavailable
This video contains content from UMG, who has blocked it in your country on copyright grounds."

Is the video available under another title perhaps?
Who is the rider? (perhaps I could look using their name for the clip?)

Since a lot of my favourite tourers are on break, one that recently stood out to me was Mikey T Williams.
His videos are top notch and well made:

Highly recommended
