Anyone Ordered from Leader Bikes Recently?

I have never ordered anything from Leader Bikes, but I do like the look of their frames. How is their turn-around time on orders? Thanks.

Not recently. They're under new ownership, and I don't see much feedback on the web. I doubt anyone on this forum has ordered from them, either. Otherwise, someone would have posted something.

Have you tried contacting them ? contact at leaderbikesusa dot com

That's a good sign.

They have a bad history of dumb seatpost clamps that don't work, and looking at their newest lineup, I'm not convinced they've moved past that. I would never buy an aero seatpost frame anyway, though, so I'm a little biased.

The new seatpost clamp design looks to me like it should work ok. The problem with the old design that cracked was that the frame itself was being deformed when the bolts were tightened. This one seems to work like the handlebar clamp on a stem with steel threaded inserts for the bolts.

I still prefer the functional elegance of a round post and non-integrated clamp, but I guess the people want their aero.

Oh, I agree wholeheartedly. I was just saying that I think the new seat clamp design should not have the problems that plagued the old design.

I've owned an old one with integrated seat post clamp for close to a decade and never had a problem with it. Sold recently/with many inquiries as I went the steel route.
Although now at their price point, I believe there are many alternatives to choose from.

I'd take a Dolan or State over a Leader any day.

Carbon Leader?

I noticed they offer a two year warranty on frames, and a one year on Carbon frames.
I wonder if they have Carbon frame in the works?
Although one year on a Carbon frame is awfully short!

State bicycle has many options at various price points
Wabi - they sent me email they recently are back in stock ( heard good things, was going to try this for my next frame before going vintage)
Cinelli vigorelli
Bianchi super pista - i've noticed 51cm NOS by benscycle on eBay

Remember back when this was a pro-Leader forum and certain members sold the hell out of them here? That was awesome

Sure do. Times change. You don't crap in a diaper anymore, right? Or maybe you do...

Changing one's habits and opinions as circumstances change and new information becomes available is, believe it or not, a good thing.

Are you sure? So I can bull**** and pluck the saps here, and poop my diaper if I want...with no consequences by claiming that was then and now I changed my mind?
This is great, thanks for letting me know...
