Couple of purchases arrived the last 2 days.
Picked these up to match the mango king hubs for my wife. Really impressed by these for being an aluminum rim. At 25mm wide and 28mm deep these have a really nice profile, feel like they'll build up stiff and both came in well under advertised weight at 445g each. Not far off from an old open pro for a much sleeker rim, I'll be buying myself a set when the time comes.
only 60.00 for the trio, 2 hoodie cold weather jerseys and a cold weather jacket. She gets cold quick and usually develops bronchitis from one cold ride a year. Hopefully these hoodies which cover the neck layered under the jacket with a wool neck/face cover will keep that away next year, already too late for this one. Just wish I could find my size in this kind of thing at even close to the price

I just got a bottle of Rock "N" Roll Absolute Dry this week. At first I thought it was just another version of paraffin in naptha. But after trying it and feeling it on my fingers, I'm wondering whether that whitish residue that sinks to the bottom is mostly PTFE. Whatever, it's not like Boeshield T9 or White Lightning Easy Lube. So far I'm liking it, although it's been rainy this week so it's not ideal for that weather.

they've raised the price $3 us dollars since i last bought them at $26.99. no biggie. i'd buy these bib shorts up to $60 or so.
ridden them on multiple centuries and up to 140 miles. always been of the opinion that the bottom part of things wear out 5x quicker than
jersey, jackets, et al. only complaint with said bibs is an unflattering amount of excess material/fabric up front when off the bike.
unless you're posing a ton, not enuff of a deterrent to stop purchasing a banging deal. the chammy/pad is extra thick so you'll get really, quickly spoiled with
the undecarriage. may seem like overcompensation but you'll appreciate it on those hard/long rides.

Check out the Spotti brand bibs with capri length legs with the white stripe. It appears to be affiliated with Przewalski -- the pad in my Spotti bibs is labeled Przewalski. It's a different pad, same Dupont CoolMax material but thick only around the sit bones, thinner elsewhere. Nice variation of that comfy but diaper-thick orange 3D pad in the first generation of Przewalski shorts and bibs. I still prefer the thicker orange pad for long sessions on the indoor trainer.
liked the przewalskis so much, i bought 4 pairs and prob have another 1.5-2 years of good usage with proper rotation. expected them to disintegrate or unravel after a few washes
(i always air dry them) but that has not been the case. occasionally mix in an older, last legs castelli kiss or demarchi bibs on a ride after rummaging through the drawer and always wonder why i bothered.

Picked up an REI/Co-op Link wool cycling hoodie, on closeout for $59. I like it. It has a couple of small zipped side pockets in addition to three proper road cycling pockets on the back. Quite stretchy. The medium was nice road cycling, on-bike fit (5'11", 185, 42" chest), but I went with a large because I'll wear it causally quite a bit - it's still form-fitting but not painted on. Because it is stretchy, I wouldn't load the rear pockets too heavily, as they'll probably sag a bit much, especially when sized up.

Got the black/white one on the right. Second choice color, would've preferred all black but most of these are marked down so I don't know if they are phasing them out so I figured since the long sleeve version fits so well i had better **** or get off the pot before its too late.

Built up the rims. Wheelsmith xl 2x front, xl 2x non-drive side and 3x db14 drive side rear. Wheel Fanatyk splined nipples. 1690g for the pair, which has saved 215g on the front alone, haven't weighed the old back wheel. Also got to test out the NOS wheelsmith spoke tensiometer. Built then checked and had the tension spot on but nice to finally have the tool to know it's as right as I thought.

Those are Rapha jerseys - not usually the brand that springs to mind first when someone says "affordable." They do have stuff on sale pretty regularly, but ~$50 is probably the lowest you're going to see for their Core line; pictured is the Classic line, which will be more.

Te-Rich - from amazon.com/gp/product/B07WCW5SNS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Didn't use yet, will use first time on my commute home today
UPDATE:
I rode tonight with the light - I had both lights on now and was much more brighter.
Didn't try the new one solo, but it seems a bit brighter than the Blitzu one I have.
Probably will be riding with both during the dark early evening of the winter.
Have to try the rear light that is also rechargeable.

Today I received a new 1" threaded Crane Creek aheadset, a new Soma Highway One handlebar, and a Park BB-69.2 tool. Looking like a lot of rain tomorrow, so I now have bicycle related things to do. With a bit of good fortune, we will get the late afternoon clearing that is forecasted, and I can collect ride dividends from my labor.

A Sram PG850 12-23 8-speed cassette (no real climbs on my commute) chosen for it's low cost but impressively shiny and impressively light.
