they work in dry conditions too. they can keep road debris, biscuits, small animals and free range fudge from ruining your trousers. Go get some today.

When I ride on some of the roads around here, I can hear little bits of stuff hitting the fenders sometimes, so I know they're catching something. Plus, since I use my bike to commute to work, it sure would suck to get caught there without them in the rain.

i run fenders (and rear panniers) so that when i pass roadies they feel twice as bad about being passed by a commuter. the protection from wet/mud is just an added bonus.

I have fenders on both of my commuters, even though the fair weather bike does not see any rain, it still serves as a backup winter bike, plus they help a little in cutting down on the dust accumulation on the frame and chain when I take some or our local trails.

I got fenders on my Sirrus so the pretty blue frame stays shiny and pretty longer
