Since today was the last fair weather day of the year, I decided I'd go out and hit my 3k mile goal that I set for myself on this bike (my Fuji Roubaix 1.0 road bike that I got in late April). Previous to today, the odometer was at 2978 miles. I raised it to 3009 miles. Here's a pic from the 3k mile mark:

Thanks man. I still consider myself a learner because I still find it hard to see a photo opportunity staring me in the face. It's a Canon 650D dslr I bought about 4 months ago. It came as a kit with a 18-55mm and 75-300mm lens then I bought a 50mm f1.8 lens. Hope to get a 100mm f2.8 macro and a 28mm f1.8 USM when finances permit.

Seems like you hit the 3000 mark just in the nick of time.

For a beginner without funds, my iPhone 5 suffices. I think it has an aperture of f2.4 which is great for macro shots. I'm an aspiring photographer and whenever I see a good photo op, I ALWAYS take it. If I'm on the bike, I pull over and photograph it. Check out my instagram: alphadogg14. If you don't like the filters that I put on, I also have many of the original pictures on my photobucket.

From the first couple pic's I thought you took a wrong turn at Albuquerque "isn't that what Bugs Bunny use to say" and ended up in South America. Nice pic's, I like around town in general pictures.

Thanks..Actually I made wrong turns not long after leaving...I had no gps and just wrote down a couple of streets to head east toward the beaches...instead I found out later that I went over 10 miles out of the way down through Coral Gables and Downtown Miami which was nice...got lucky on picking the right bridges to get over to Miami Beach and had no Idea how long it would take...left at 1 pm and over 5 hrs later I was back...but had fun and a real sore tail!

I thought It would be no problem riding on the beach but the sand here was too soft..nothing like back up in the panhandle of the gulf of Florida...don't know if it was just new sand dredged up on the beach.

Never seen so many different kind of bikes...& most areas all so bike friendly too!

i've tried beach riding on 26x2.25" fatties and been totally unable to stay upright on the soft sands of the northern california beaches. the salt and sand are murder on your chain, too

I was quite surprised how easy it was to ride on the beach near my house on the gulf and how fun it was...Just assumed the beaches on the Atlantic would be no problem. I waited for low tide and couldn't believe how soft the sand was...kinda weird. Seems like it would have been the other way around...on the gulf we have fluffy sugar white sand...lot more prettier. ... also I could care less what it does to my chain....seems like the wax is not letting it stick that much anyway.

It was the first day of the 2013 UCI world tour in Adelaide today. Stage 1 winner was Aundre Greipel in a 51km short course race in the city streets.
Took many pic's but here just a few.

Just a few people rode to the king of the mountain stage today.

Very crowded before the riders came through.

Thomas Geraint of team Sky won today.

Lots of great pictures here.

I figure I can add a couple..

Sorry for the finger being on the way, I took it in a rush, but that is a part of the parking near the city center here in Arnhem, NL

My everyday commuter (Note the frame lock)

And my faster ride for when I commute all the way to school
