Bikes: My mountain bike after 22 years is retired, and I am now using a touring bike, and I still have my folding bike.

Advice for riding in Shrevesport, Louisiana.
Hi everyone, my wife has a contract job in Shreveport for 3 months. I am looking for any advice on riding there. I am bringing my folding bike. Are there any issues with riding the road with cars in traffic? Are there trails for recreation? Info on weather from 1 Feb to 3 May. I live in the Caribbean, so weather is important. Thanks in advance.

There's some fine riding around Jefferson TX; tha't a pretty town and close to Shreveport. There is also some really pretty country around Natchitoches, LA. That's also a fun place to just visit.

The weather may not be to your liking. It's far enough north that you're likely to have weather much colder than you're used to. It is unpredictable though. Over the last two years, February has been quite warm across the South, while March and April were colder than average. You'll get some days in the 70s, but you'll also see periods where the high doesn't reach 50. The weather where I live is generally much nicer than Shreveport and last year I had a glorious February while March totally sucked with a lot of days in the 50s with a stiff north wind. April was hit and miss, but had a lot more rain than is normal at that time of year.
