WTB - Shimano 6400 downtube 2x7 shifters
Need a set of 7 speed downtube index shifters.
The rest of the group is Shimano 600 so a set of SL-6400 would be great.

How about a DA 7sp R shifter, same dark color as the tricolor, and the matching DA RD? I just picked up a bike with those on it.
Also have a set of Matrix ISO wheels with the 7-sp freewheel on 'em…
You building two?

The Ironman is a complete bike so that's good to go. On the Trek 400 frameset I'm going to us a 600ex groupset from a Super Sport I stripped, this is what the Bontrager wheels you're sending are going on as I already have a 7 speed cassette I picked up somewhere and why I need 7 speed downtube shifters.
For the boy I'm going to have to locate another bike, after the first of the month, hopefully complete or mostly complete. Right now I honestly don't know if I'll need another wheelset yet.

Although the DA stuff sounds primo, if you really just want shifters, look on eBay for 7 speed Exage ones. I boight a pair with a clamp, new, for lime $15 not that long ago, and seems to me the seller had multiples of them.
Just checked and there's a pair on there for $20.

I'm sending him the R shifter and RD for the DA 7-sp. Came off a bike that someone upgraded from 2x6 to 2x7. He's also getting wheels.
He is an Ironman owner, so our time with him is just beginning.

It's a good thing the Ironman is 10cm to small for me or I would definitely be taking it for my own. Youngest daughter loves the Ironman and hopefully I will have time this weekend to help her make the transition from her flat bar to the Ironman. As a bonus I'm going to have the other two give it a ride and learn how everything works so that when their bikes are ready they can just hop on and go. They want to ride the charity ride that I ride in every year, fingers crossed we will all be riding vintage steel roadies.
