Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

OSBB to GXP Adapter - Will a BB30 adapter work?

I have a GXP crank. The 2020 bike is a Specialized Allez, which comes with a OSBB BB. I have a Wheels Manufacturing BB30 to GXP adapter. The adapter seems to fit but when I tighten the crank down it's kinda sticky which makes me think that adapter is actually off a bit.

Anyone have any info on this?

It should. OSBB is just what Specialized calls BB30.

Does the crank have a big pre-load bolt and then you tighten the arm to the spindle? If so, you may be over-doing the preload - you just want to take out the slack/side-to-side play.

Or does the crank have the wavy washer? If so, are you cranking down so much that you're flattening it? If yes, that's too much.
