Been a while since I posted pics of the trance....added an e.thirteen after grinding a couple of teeth on the big ring back in the fall. Also added Crosstrail rims and a Purely Custom cap...I know the end bars aren't everyone's cup of tea, but they work for the riding I do.

'06 StumpJumper frameset with alternate parts setup. I like it, it goes fast and stuff. XTR shift pods and derailleurs, XT cranks/cassette, Conti RK 2.2 Supersonic tires, etc etc. 1:1 low gear

It was for the "Midnight Century" in and around Spokane. Had a bunch of road, MUP, and gravel roads.

Yeah, I was trying to keep the air drag down for the fast sections (my average was 19.5mph by the time I got off the Centenial Trail). I keep the stem on the top of the stack for normal MTB riding. ssyco, did you do the Midnight Century this year?

A recent article in one of the mag spoke of those old bikes and how they should be riden carefuly and probably not a good idea to take off road as they have reached thier life span. Nice bike though.

I put one on both sides of my frame because it has rust on it.. and almost detracts from how ugly a bike it is.

I don't know about that. Commercial airlines are still flying planes built of the same aluminum that were built in the 70's. Everything else on the bike is just a matter of maintenance.
