Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Never had a steel roadie, so kinda randomly built one.
Campy Centaur groupo/Chorus laced to Open Pros/Ritchey components.

I love the fact you can lock the bike to nothing, with a shoelace and you're all good.

Dunno, it would be kinda cool seeing that anime disc spinning... getting tired of all the sponsor decals.

Here's what I've got. 2003 Giant OCR3. It's nothing fancy, but it's my first road bike.

Sorry about the mess in the background. The picture was taken at my boyfriend's apartment and he doesn't really do this thing we call cleaning too often.

IT is probably just the angle of the photo, but is your saddle level or pointing up?

Rikka on a disc? I approve.

Thanks for the idea, I'm definitely going to have to do something similar to my disc one of these days.

Oh I can't wait to show up at a local TT with one of those.

I saw the guy riding it yesterday and I have to say the colours looked fantastic on the fly. The guy really does look like an Otaku. Over size brown jeans, grey hoodie, no helmet and big black plastic specticals. Sensational! (^-^)v

I just built this. Downsized from a 2008 58cm Tarmac frame and transferred all of my components to a new (to me) SL3 frame in 56cm.
I hope to do something similar.......

Sweet Bike!!!!!!

That Bottecchia is so sweet, I crave a C&V Botty like I had in 1972 and 1973, yours is carrying on the fine traditions.

I have a nice steel framed Bottecchia in the garage too, which used to be mine but got passed on to my father when I got the carbon frame urge a few years ago. I will try to add some pics of that too soon

Took a trip back in time yesterday with my Stowe- from STI's and delta pedals to downtube shifters and toe clips. I have yet to get the tricolor stem and post on there, but everything else (including pedals) is tricolor.
