Nice fast ( for me ) ride in dangerous territory and one idiot. CR's around west side Summerdale AL are not much good for biking. But I got to ride in the second state for the year. That made it worth while.

Winter Project Springs to Life
The sun made a rare appearance here today, and I used the opportunity to take my winter project bike out for a shakedown ride. Had to raise the handlebars from where I first set them, good thing I bought that long, Nitto stem. My spine just doesn't like the aero-crouch position anymore. The bike turned out pretty well, and it felt great to be back in the saddle.

Rode with groups the last three days. Not far, two 10-ish mile rides and a 17. The 17 is my most miles so far. This evening, I am officially tired and sore!

Well it was back to winter here. 36 deg with that heavy winter air.
Some days are harder than others and it seemed to be all work today. 50 miles with 1500 feet.
Forscast is for 60 deg by Wednesday....I'll believe it when I feel it.

Conditions here today couldn't have been better for an afternoon ride with a friend: 28 easy miles, 73 F, low humidity, blue skies and minimal to non-existent wind on mostly-empty rural roads with good asphalt and lots of little tiny yellow flowers everywhere. That doesn't happen often here, so we tried extra hard to enjoy it more than usual.

Rode 16 miles on a beautiful Saturday afternoon, finished off with some grocery shopping. Thought I was flying the first half of the ride and congratulating myself on a remarkable improvement in conditioning, especially considering the aching neck and back ... until the return trip when I realized there had been just enough tailwind on the first half to push me along without noticing. Made up for it on the return trip against the moderate headwind.

I am not go for ride today. General i not ride much the last 3 years. I work 8 hours sometimes on the weekends i fix people bikes. Go in church all that no let me much free time to ride. But i do have One TT bike 3 road bikes and one mountain bike. Only one road bike is ready to ride. My other bikes need some work i need work in my best bikes and start ride again. I pass from bike trail today is was nice day and the people ride too many people.

Another over crowded day at the park due to this great weather we've been having lately. However, it was rather windy but not enough to where the ride is not enjoyable. Nice 37 mile ride with my buddy Lou. I really need a few solo rides just to have some ride time to myself.

That beauty is tempting me to flip my bike's semi-high rise handlebars upside down. Not sure how well it'll work, but I'd like to get the hand position about level with the saddle. Might make for easier rides in this wind. I've already lowered the stem about 3" but the hand position is still well above the saddle.

Twelve miles on a gusty Sunday afternoon, mostly curious to see how the new panniers felt empty in side wind. A couple of 25-30 mph gusts felt like the rear of the bike was shoved sideways, but was tolerable. Planning to build up enough stamina for a bike camping trip this year, although I'll stay within 100 miles of home.

152 miles last week, the weather here has been a mix of spring-like warmth, and down right cold mornings, with winds from every compass heading. This week is iffy, according to the weather forecast, rain is likely from Wednesday through Sunday. We shall see.

Yahoo, first open road ride, a fast 10mi hill ride. Still sore from Saturday but yet managed to top last years first effort on this route by 5 minutes. Feels good to get out of Dodge.

Finally after 8 days, got back out for a 12 mile ride. The weather is ramping up to be absolutely gorgeous this week in South Jersey; forecast says upper 70s by thursday. Worked a bit against a headwind, 10-20mph, the ride out, but coming back did it feel great. Looking forward to tomorrow.
