Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Adding to the stable again...Trek Domane S6

Been out of cycling for a solid 2.5yr and prior to that, the riding was dwindling down since 2010 when I had to start taking care of my Dad.

I kept all of my bikes except the TT, MTB, and the old steel bike a member here gave me years ago.
Dwindled down from 7 to 4 and I just couldn't get rid of those.
Invested too much and the thought of just "giving" them away, well, I couldn't.

The Fuji & BMC have a more aggressive position than I'm capable of riding at this time.
I'm out of shape and gained a little weight back over the past 3-4 yrs.

Been waiting on the desire to ride to come to me again...
I knew one day, some day in my future, I'd want to ride again...
That desire found it's way back into my heart almost 2 weeks ago.

So, did some research and decided to test ride the Trek Domane.
Man that bike was so comfortable!

Bought the S6 and picked it up late Friday afternoon.
I've unfortunately not had a chance to ride it yet, but next week after work.

Here are a couple pictures with the other bikes...

Really looking to get back to riding and the joy/happiness that brought me.
Would like to set a goal - a ride to do later this fall - something to work towards, but still thinking about that one...
