Yes. One of the riders is on the club’s board and she will be sending a letter. I don’t know if it will make a difference, but worth doing. No video evidence that I am aware of.

We had a fun brisk ride. We did get pulled over by an angry police officer who chewed us out. He gave us a stern lecture about how we should ride no more than two abreast and told us we were 3 or 4 abreast. Threatened to give everyone in the group a ticket if we do it again.
Truth is, we really were riding 2 abreast, but since the riders were staggered I can understand how he saw us as not riding 2 abreast.
Rather than explain the intricacies of perspective, I said we are sorry and we collectively took it. But the guy was angry and kinda wrong. He also passed us on a blind curve in a fairly unsafe manner. No point in arguing with an angry officer, though.

I took the 88 Centurion Ironman today, in the hope of filling its its handle bag with grapefruits. But alas, the season has ended, for that particular tree anyway.
I tell myself I can tell the difference in ride quality between those two bikes. I think I'm lying to myself though. One of them is full Columbus SL and the other is full Tange 1.

Under every lit tree, I placed at least 2 or more dogs under it, or near it. We also have a pig, a squirrel, and one of our original figures, which is a rope light rocking horse. There are also free-standing ones, like the mailbox one, and of course, a Siberian pulling a dog in a sleigh.

Pfft. At least you were on the road. Many years ago we got chewed out by an angry state park ranger before we even left the parking lot of Evansburg State Park. He gave the ride leader a warning for holding an organized even without a permit. The guy's wife must have left him or something because he was fuming from the minute he pulled up and got out of his car. Red faced and everything. We were going to be in the park for maybe a mile, and it's not like there were hundreds of us taking up all the parking. In fact, most people had parked off in the distance to leave room for other park users. And if you know the park, it's not exactly teeming with people. One of those "Is this really happening?" experiences.

Off to see my cardiologist this afternoon for a nuisance checkup. Haven’t been in three years and my family doc wants me checked out due to my recent ecg which showed all of my “normal” issues (left ventricle hypertrophy, benign arrhythmia, etc.) and she doesn’t like my resting HR <40 despite the fact that I reminded her that I ride 6,000+ miles annually and have for 38 seasons.
