UPdate for anyone curious I did make contact with the seller who was extremely uncooperative on the deal from the get go. I share my experience with Yoshi and tons of personal & business references all in the hopes of calming his fears that I was a scammer. However that seemed to have the opposite effect and he turned on me. The more he found me interested in buying the bike the worse he got. His last message to me was literally taunting me. Anyway the ad has been removed so someone else got it. And yes I am a bit heartbroken as it has been years since I have seen a 3Rensho track bike in my size and a somewhat reasonable price.

Sharing my love of bicycles with sellers has hurt me more than helped me. Now, I keep internet interactions short and simple and share my passion more in-person if the seller seems like the type to care. Too many times have I thought a bicycle was owned by a passionate cyclist but I end up meeting a storage unit reseller instead.

Flippers could care less how much we care, see it as a weakness and are happy to use it against us.

Local sale a few years ago I went to see (but passed) was a very similar Bianchi, it had the cotterless steel Nervar, so yours could be original (and if so possibly earlier).

Someone else just recently went down that path and ended up getting a new fork and a new discounted Bianchi. Doubt they will replace.
Look in a local coop and you will likely find a suitable fork to replace. For the record, never had a problem with the death fork at that time!

Pinarello Treviso (mid-'80s model) for $50 on NY CL. Bike is north of NYC in Ossining, NY. Bike is listed as a project bike. Set up as single speed, but seller has AND is including original Campy components. I don't usually see bikes like this listed, especially at this price.
Update: SOLD within about 6 hours of posting. I was starting to think nobody bothered with CL anymore. You only see the same overpriced, low-end bikes day after day. Somebody got lucky! I only passed on it because Mrs. C. threatened to hit me on the head with it if I bought it .. "NO MORE BIKES!"
