Winter Zwift rides?
Anyone interested in knowing the BF>50 Zwifters?
There's folks here I'd like to ride with, or at least get dropped by. Zwift companion shows if any of the people I'm following on Zwift are riding, and if I want to join them on the ride.
I'm thinking a less-public way of sharing names would be to start a club on Zwift. That way people could join, see other's Nom du Zwift then decide who to follow. Get togethers would be random, but it would be a start. Organizing a group ride is almost certainly a bridge too far, but fun to think about.
Thoughts?

I may be interested in joining. My issue is commitment. I work long hours, and travel 2-3 nights a week, then it seems I’m either accommodating the Mrs, and or projects.
My latest project, which is incidentally Zwift related. For a computer desk I was using a rolling hospital style bed/dinner tray, which was my mother’s before she passed. I was informed yesterday she offered it to my mother in law, which is fine. So I started to whip one up yesterday. Hope to have it assembled today and at least one coat of finish on it.

My road club hosts two types of Zwift rides during the winter months. One is a 'club ride', where I usually get dropped within the first few miles, just like in real life! The other is a 'meetup' where the parameter is set so everyone stays together, regardless of speed or w/kg being produced (I like those!) Meetups can also be configured so that the only riders you see are the ones participating in the meetup ride, which gives you that open road feeling.
If you're riding, look me up and give me a Ride On!
It's easy enough to start a Zwift club. Any suggestions for a name for the Bike Forums 50+ Riders club?
p.s.: Check out the guy coming up from behind me, with 91 miles this ride! A true ANIMAL!

Yeah I would be interested in this. Timing of group rides would be tricky for me though. I usually hop on Zwift whenever I’m free but not at any regular time.

I have tried Zwift a couple of times and found it meh. However, I now have a smart trainer and my wife just got one. We are setting up Zwift in the next couple of days. I will see how it goes. I may be interested in Zwift meet up where everyone stays together no matter how much power one makes. My wife and I plan to ride together on Zwift as we do on the road. We will see how THAT turns out.
FWIW, over the years, I have participated in real world local BF rides. And as one might expect, they had the same problems as any group ride where riders have different abilities and expectations.

FWIW, I have set up a Zwift Meetup ride, primarily for some club members, but hey, the more the merrier!
Thursday, Dec 21st at 6PM Eastern time. It's the super easy "Going Coastal" route in Watopia. Only 10.8 miles, everyone stays together, and only those in the ride will be visible.
If interested, send me a Request to Follow in Zwift and that way I can send out the invite. It's Paul Lindewall, by the way.

I set up a club; Over the Hill Gang, and it's open to join. Sharing names here on BF works just fine too!

Never mind, found it in ZWIFT companion. Duh. Joined there as Grupetto Bob on Strava, Ricky Rocket.

I joined the Over The Hill Gang. This sounds interesting. I ride a few events but mostly free rides. I create meetups to ride in worlds not open for free rides. Zwift is a winter thing for me, November to March. Thanks for taking the initiative.

I'll set up a ride for after Christmas!
Also wondering if people would want to talk during the ride? I would.
Looking into Discord as a host, users would have to create a log-in then could join via web client. Zoom would require a paid account for calls over 40 minutes.
