FS. Specialized Sequoia Frameset built by 3Rensho

SOLD

Another 3Rensho built Specialized frameset on the chopping block.

Fairly rare 3Rensho built Specialized Sequoia. Fastback seat stays, fine lug work and other details point to this being a 3Rensho build vs the later frames. These were sold as frame sets only. This is the earliest type with the early Specialized logo types.

The seat tube measures 60cm center to center, top tube measures 57cm.

Included with the sale will be a nice Shimano 600 headset.

Paint is in nice shape with some chips here and there, decals are clean overall. All threads are clean. Frame is free of dents or dings.

Asking $500 $350+shipping

Found these NOS wrenches I'll include with the frame. Designed to work specifically with this headset.

I am grateful that this frame does not fit me. This bike is beautiful. GLWS as well.

None of the 3Rensho built specialized bikes have serial numbers. Just the size stamped on the BB. So in this case ‘60’.

Have you ever had it built up? I am curious about tire clearance and whether it would be a candidate for 650b conversion.

+1 on seeing how 700 rims/tires currently sit in it.

I can attest, these are amazing frames. I have been collecting parts and almost ready to build my Konno Sequoia. It looks to have very similar details to this one, although it bit worse condition.

My frame came with 28s with more room to spare. Mine also has a pretty high brake bridge, but I believe it would still be a good 650b candidate based on my research (albeit I'm a little out of my element in that and definitely not an authority.)

Whoever gets this will be very happy with it, I'm pretty sure of that!

700x32 Paselas will fit as well. Now searching for some 35...

Edit: 35 Schwalbe Marathons fit, although it was pretty tight in the rear on my frame which is a labeled 58, slightly smaller than this one.
