Front windows of the crib rear-screened. Took them longer than I expected. Now back to mind numbing, on-line continuing legal education.

Park polylube for metal on metal. Whatever carbon paste is handy for carbon stuff (Finishline, FSA, etc...).

Finished round 1 of sanding in the basement last night. Touched up a couple, 6 or 7 spots. Getting ready for round 2 tonight.
Plus as a bonus I need to pick a color for paint. As I am color blind for the most part, I hate this part of a job. I have to rely on sales people for color selection. Some are reluctant to stick their necks out that far. So frustrating. But I want to be into ceiling work this weekend, so forward we go. The rest of my guitar cases/bags showed up yesterday too. So they all came down and got put away.
I can't believe this is finally happening, I've waited so long.

Scheduled to get our first shot on Friday. We got in line this morning and were told that, as foreigners, we have to come back Friday, with the rest of the stragglers. We also had to go to the Palacio and get a Carta de Residencia to prove we actually live here. The woman in that office echoed the Friday thing. It's always good to hear something like that twice. I stepped into the Police station to ask where to find said carta, and one of them came with us and introduced our issue to the woman in charge. Such a difference from what we have experienced elsewhere in the world. Authorities falling all over themselves to be helpful.

I sent a newsletter to my clients on that topic about a year ago. Now that Texas is "open for business", I'm going to have to send another warning them that just because the Governor says we're "open" doesn't mean we can disregard employee safety. OSHA is always looking for new business!

The current requirements for certification to work on major Swiss watch brand products involves correctly using 5-6 different lubricants in different spots on each movement. These come in tiny aliquots at ridiculous cost, with remarkably short theoretical shelf lives.
But at least it's no longer porpoise jaw oil.

Does anyone else find you have to talk yourself down from projects you really don't want to undertake, but which won't leave you alone?
I'm trying really hard to convince myself that I don't want to get YET ANOTHER old steel frame, and build it up with Shimano's Sante groupset. It would be silly and quixotic AF. And I'm already having parking issues in the garage. At least with the C'dale I already had the frame, seatpost and saddle, and stem, as well as the brakes and levers, and a couple 12-25 8sp Dura Ace cassettes that were just lying fallow. This would be completely new, from the ground up. And now I already HAVE a vintage bike. Hell, THREE vintage bikes, if you count the Ritchey and Battaglin, since their frames are from the early 90s and their groupsets from the early 00's.
Cripes. The Bianchi is 15 years old now. Is IT vintage?

Jumped on the tire-buying bandwagon and picked up a new set of Gravelking slicks in 28mm.
I thought about trying something new but I seriously doubt I'm giving up much with these and I've already had a good experience with them, plus they're fairly inexpensive

Oh my, a big rig decided to try a shortcut on the olde Lincoln Highway between Rock Springs and Green River today. That mud gets pretty nasty when the snow is melting like that.

I'm really tired today and my ride this morning was a slog where I struggled to hold power - wondering if it's vax fatigue or something else.

I do this with the annual HIPAA and compliance training video I can't skip through before taking the quiz at the end. I get that it's a CMS requirement but good lord, make it interesting.

Which reminds me I have to do two training sessions this afternoon after my last Zoom. Oh, joy. Oh, rapture.
