Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

After buying things from bike places that live and die by internet sales, buying something from a place that doesn't give you a tracking number seems weird, don't it? The hub cone I ordered for the C'dale arrived yesterday, without even an email acknowledgment that I'd bought it. Meanwhile, I'm checking on the order from Excel a couple times a day.

That other 56cm Circuit is only about 30 miles away. It's been listed on FB Marketplace for almost 3 months. And he says he's flexible on the price. If I go for one at all, it'll be this one.

Chilly and windy out, but had a fantastic ride. I got lucky with call, only got paged twice. One was at the rest stop and one was a few minutes from the end, so I was able to stay with my friends the whole ride. There were only 5 of us which is fine by me.

The mighty Owls are struggling at home against Charleston Southern.
YSU Penguins are slated to play SD State in a little bit.

A nail biter but the Mighty Owls prevailed. The Penguins are keeping pace with SD State.

Do you really have a pager or do you use that term in the generic sense?

3x15' Lactic Threshold work is sad while it's happening. Especially if it's happening on the trainer.

I did. R2 from a rental fleet. Rode for about an hour and a half with the shop owner here in SC which was a bunch of fun.

First ride ever on a crabon frame. It felt really nice.

We switched from pagers to getting a secure text about five years ago, but still use the term. We used to have TWO pagers, one for the hospital and one for outpatients.

Got the Ritchey up. Still need to swap out bars and stem, but I need some spacers and new tape before I can do either. ride is super smooth. Can’t wait to take her out for an actual ride.

Got it. Glad you had a nice ride. Are you anticipating busy times ahead from all the deferred medical care? I have to catch up on dental and vision appointments.
