12-28 Cassette Change
I would like to change the set-up to a 12-32 from the 12-28 that came on the stock bike. It's a 2017 CAADX with a Tiagra RD and 36/46 CR. Will I need to change the RD?

Fresh shift cables - things are getting messy in the middle of the cassette.

Sram X9 Rear deraillieur. Wolf link and Rival doesn't seem to be working that great together so i'm hoping this will get things shifting better on my 11-36 cassette. Plus it has a clutch which will be nice during CX races when it gets real bumpy.

Wolf Tooth B-Rad 2 for the seat tube bottle cage. Allows me to move the bottle cage as low as possible so I can run a half-frame bag when I need to - and raise it up (so the bottle cages are level for normal riding) in 10 seconds by loosening then tightening two bolts on the B-RAD base.

I got a lot of things, including a new gravel bike but that’s not most recent. I got WTB Nine Line 2.0 tires for my bike, along with impulse setting them up tubeless.
Guess it’s a Monster-cross bike now.... 😬

We just rode the Hilly Billy in West Virginia over the weekend on our tandem that is adapted for gravel. Completely burned through a new set of front and rear v-brake pads on the ride so we have a new set of pads on order and are ordering a disc brake front fork this week as well... Time to convert what we can to disk brakes now,,,

For mounting my second water bottle when I'm using my Revelate Tangle: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
2l Platy to go in the Revelate Tangle: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Panaracer Gravelking SK, 650b 48mm. Wanted to try a 650b tire with a bit more grip than the WTB byways I've had. Plenty of space at the chain stays but this is probably about the limit of the Rodeo Labs Spork for clearance and still leave room for mud.
Also, not a purchase but a warrantied Kinlin TL23 rim to replace mine that cracked :/

Arkel Seatpacker 15L. Used it on the weekend when I rode my bike 3hrs to a friend’s house, as he was having a boys night and I didn’t want to drive home. Made for two nice rides and a fun time in between. Fit in 2nd set if bike clothes, toiletries and off the bike clothes with lots of room to spare.

Well, not technically for my bike, but for riding my bike: I wear MTB shorts almost exclusively on my gravel/adventure bike. I like to have a few secure pockets on my shorts, especially for shorter rides where I'm not using any kind of bag. But, there are very few mtb shorts that aren't long/baggy, and I'm a short scrawny guy which accentuates that even more. I can't justify the cost of some the new boutique brands coming out with gravel/urban type shorts that are shorter inseam/sleeker. So I just got some Zoic Ether 9" shorts. $65 and they tick all the boxes. Very comfy, adjustable, plenty of pockets with zippers, and FWIW they look(I think at least) "right" on my drop-bar, Cross Check gravel rig, compared to my longer/baggier MTB shorts.

Well, technically it was purchased for me as a gift... but I received the new Ultegra RD-RX800 clutch rear derailleur. It feels noticeably more precise than the 105 5800 derailleur it replaced, especially with the clutch disengaged. I love the low profile Shadow design and the clutch works as advertised. It doesn't seem to increase shifting effort appreciably either. It just seems to make shifts a touch slower. That's a small price to pay for superior chain control on rough surfaces.

Spare tubes...which, infuriatingly, took three tries before I got the right ones. No wonder everyone is going tubeless!
