Cape Cod Ride on Sunday, Oct 8th - Interested?

Am considering coordinating a one day ride from the Cape Cod Canal Railroad Bridge parking lot to Woods Hole and back. Each leg is about 21.5 miles so about 43 miles roundtrip. Meet-up and start time would be 9:30 am in the parking lot (cars can be left there during the day) and we would ride through Monument Beach and Pocasset to arrive at the Shining Sea Bikepath and on to Woods Hole. Lunch can be sandwiches, snacks, etc. (ordered in advance for pick-up at Pie-in-the-Sky or the Woods Hole Market or BYOF). Rest and eating stop could be at Nobska Point Lighthouse or at the seaside park near the Marine Biological Lab.
We have ridden all over the Cape and Martha's Vineyard and this particular route is one of our favorites or probably our top pick. The bike path is excellent with a wide variety of scenery including cranberry bogs, salt ponds, beaches, forest, etc. Practically no climbing although one could change the route slightly around the Nobska Point Lighthouse just to get some elevation if needed. Facilities include porta-potties at some of the parking lots on the bikepath or the Woods Hole Steamship Authority building. Relaxed pace of 12 - 15 mph allows one to enjoy the sights and company.
Anticipate that we would conclude the ride in the middle of the afternoon. If bad weather, we would cancel the event.
If interested, please respond to this thread or dm me if you like.

Top has been organizing a C&V ride on the Cape Cod Rail Trail over Columbus Day weekend for quite a number of years and getting a good group. I'll likely do that ride if I'm in Massachusetts.

I'm in New York now, but I was born in Falmouth, had a house in Pocasset, and worked in Woods Hole. Love to see as many pictures as anyone feels like posting. I miss my old stomoing ground. Beautiful area!
