Wares Cycle in Milwaukee
Anybody familiar with the (now defunct, I think) Wares Cycles in Milwaukee? I'm in an email exchange with a CL seller who has a decent looking vintage bike (early 80s?). The only decal seems to be from Wares. The bike has a mixture of SunTour and Shimano parts (nice ones), so I suspect it's probably a UJB of some sort. I'm wondering what brands they might have sold BITD.

I'd say as a general rule of thumb for what Ware's sold, mid-level to high end, above Walmart, but below a boutique bike shop. Hard to say what the seller that you are dealing with might have, especially if all the decals and stickers and possibly the headbadge have been removed. And if someone removed all that stuff then why would they leave the Ware's sticker on there.

I have a 1985 Bridgestone 600 with a Wares Cycle decal on it.
