Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

A Specialized Allez Epic??? I had a ruby red one several years ago. In prior years the frame had unpainted tubes with yellow decals. It had carbon tubes bonded to aluminum BB shell and aluminum lugs. If any of that matches your description, I think the BB was English threaded.

I've got one and it has a Shimano Dura Ace crank, so I'm going to assume that's English.

Great bike, BTW. Enjoy it.

+1, I have one myself. I have been think'g about changing the fork.
How much did you pay for yours?
And do you feel the difference?
thanks.

BTW, I've upgraded the orig. compo. to Dura Ace and it is now a 9sp.

Specialized has actually apologized for making that bike. Make sure the carbon tubing is staying inside of the lugs.
