Back in training!
Had to take a week off of training, to get classroom, lesson plans, and Open house out of the way! So today Mr. Hill-Pumper and I rode 43 miles, mostly country some HILLS ( I capitalize them because their my weakness) 20 miles in we took a rest stop and enjoyed a cliff bar and a ride on the ferry across the River, they charge $1.00 for bicyclists. We got covered in dust due to tractor plowing nearby field. All in all it was good and I'm glad to say I will be doing my first metric end of September, The Peach! My 17 year daughter told me she would ride with me, but I don't think she could keep up!

I love leaving my teenager in the dust. I have not started riding much yet but I hike and she begs for stops.

43 miles, wow... is that a record for you? Seems like yesterday I was reading that a 10 mile bridge ride left you puffing.
Congrats!
Congrats!

Ya, her farthest mileage by 5 miles and her first time over 1000 feet of gain at 1100. She is going to need all the training time she can get. The Peach ride always seems to have nasty weather for some reason. I know she can do this anyway.

I dare say Mrs H will do just fine... don't forget the ride report when you're done.
