Put slick city tire on mountain bike?

Hello everyone
first of all it's my pleasure to joining this forums
Before my question I just want to tell you I am sorry for the mistake because my English is not good enough
So I have question please
- I have mountain bike it's called APACHE 2660A ( tyre size 26 x1.95
so I need to transfer the bike from mountain bike to road city bike for faster ride by changing the tyres not the whole wheel ( only tyre not rims)? is that possible??
I have found many options the size is 26 But the second number is 1.50 or 1.75 is this fit ? My bike size 26×1.95
So I don't know ,,, just wondering if I can change my mountain bike tyre to riad tyre how?

Yep. A 559mm Bead Seat Diameter road tire would work fine. Continental makes 26 inch (559) Gatorskin tires & at the complete other end of the spectrum would be Compass Elk Pass in 559x32 (26x1.25) Compass also makes the same tire in 1.8.

Panaracer Pasela also is worthy of mention.

I use Michelin Protek in 559/26in on a rigid MTB and in 622/700c on a hybrid with good results https://www.biketiresdirect.com/prod...k-26-inch-tire https://www.biketiresdirect.com/prod...otek-700c-tire

No. 700c means that the tire bead seats at a diameter of 622mm, it's also the same wheel diameter as "29 inch" mountain bikes. Your wheels require 559mm.

Yes-
IF it's listed as a 26x DECIMAL number, it's a 559. 26x anything 1.25, 1.5, 1.75..........2.50......
IF a 26x FRACTIONAL number it isn't. ie: 26x 1-3/4".
See the tire sizing article mentioned above.

No the 559/26" is on a 26" rigid MTB and the 622/700c is on a 700c hybrid. I included the 559/622 ISO/ETRTO sizes for clarity, they need to match your rim diameter

The Sheldon Brown site linked above can be referenced for more information on tire and wheel sizing.

You have a 26x1.95" tire, which means the wheel itself (the metal rim) has a 559mm diameter where the bead of the tire (the thick wire cable that forms the "ring") sits on the rim. This means that any tire designed to fit 559mm wheels will work. These tires will often have two types of size labels. They may use the "26 inch" type label (such as 26x1.95 or 26x1.3 or 26x1.5 or similar...anything that's 26x1.something with a decimal) or they may use the international standard of tire width-bead seat diameter (in millimeters). 1.95" is about 50mm, so you may also see a label of 50-559 on your tire somewhere. Look around the edge of the tire where all the writing is...you'll probably see something with a "-559" label. 50-559 or 52-559, etc.

Any tire that's designed to fit a 559mm wheel will work for you. These will be labeled and sold as "xx-559" or "26x1.decimal".
