Raleigh Olympian Technium Aluminum-More info please

Hello,

I just bought this old Raleigh today. The stickers say it has a 6061-T8 aluminum frame with mostly Shimano components, my guess is it was made in the 90's considering the brake cables are through the lever hoods and it has 700 rims. It definitely hasn't been ridden in a while, the tire sidewalls are shot. My intention is to clean it up, put on new tires, chain and bar tape then ride it. I may keep it, I may sell it. What are these worth? Sorry I don't have better pictures yet. Thanks

I have this exact same bike with the Purple and Black. Mine has bull style handlebars. I got mine over ten years ago in Florida. I just pulled it out of the shed here in NY and I'm going to restore it.

What size frame is that? It looks tall. If you decide to sell I may be interested. They don't make tall bikes anymore, and vintage tall alloy frames are scarce

The Olympian was the bottom model in Raleigh's bonded aluminum Technium series. Components were typically Shimano 300EX. This one appears to be circa 1991-1992. The serial number will tell us the exact year. Original MSRP was around $400 US. We'll need more than single non-drive side photo to determine the condition and value.
