Simplex SLJ 5000 RD part FOUND
FOUND ONE. Thanks all.
I posted this in the ISO thread also but on the chance a lot of you don't check it often (like me) I'm duplicating my plea here in hopes of getting more eyes on it.
I have a very nice 1st design Simplex Super LJ 5000 RD but it has one small issue, the tension plate (see pic) has the stop tab broken off and I am in need of a replacement. If anyone has a spare or a non-repairable SLJ with this particular plate I would gladly buy the whole thing.

Can you not install it as is, and (before fully tightening the rear mounting bolt), adjust the B-tension manually using a hex key, before fully tightening the mounting bolt?
I find it likely that the B-tension adjustment will hold, as there should only ever be spring-limited force pulling the derailer body forward (even if the chain were to go full-tight by some instance of chainsuck, etc.).
Alternately, a skilled welder could re-establish the mounting tab, at whatever position that your testing deems optimal (leaving perhaps some extra metal for you to set your adjustment later using a file or Dremel).
Making a new plate from scratch wouldn't be too hard, starting by scribing the existing plate's dimensions onto some sheet stock.
I would make the tab wider than needed, as reinforcement.

Bro, let me check the Simplex RD on my PXN-10. If it has the same part you need I'll just send the whole thing to you.
Standby for pics....

I got this to put on my '77 PR 10 frameset, after a repaint of course.

Haha, yeah I realized after I posted that, it was a bit vague - did I mean the whole derailleur or the whole bike? Honestly, I'd good w/ either interpretation
If I asked you for $$ for this thing you have the right to slap me! Just PM your addy and we'll be gtg.
