Today rode the Bottecchia home. I must say DA 7400 is smooth and quick. I'm liking it alot and the saddle is super comfortable.
If the last pic is too Rated R I'll take it down.

After the East Orchard Loop t’was time to head back toward the river trail to check it out.

I got back about a half hour ago and took a shower... Nice 14.83 mile ride down along Riverside Dr along the James River here in Richmond, VA. I clipped on a smartphone holder onto the steering stem and enabled Strava. It was dead on accurate...

Rode some of the RiverBend Park trail from the GJ 29thRd at C. Nicely graveled parking area. But it is a State Park with fees (just to make riders aware. Again the nicknamed The Sidewalk is deserved. But car free and some benches and some picturesque spots.

So my son came home on spring break and asked to take a bike back to school. He choose my red univega. He’s a distance runner so I’m glad he’s getting cross training on a c&v bike. Anyways he sent me this pic today and I thought it was worthy to share with you all. Cheers, Kevin.

Drove out to Arches National Park and rode the bikeway off of the “auto/RV/truck busy 2 lane distracted by ogling the sights” highway. Saved the pics for the most eye popping spots which are not accessible from the bikeway.

Continuing the Grand Junction, Colorado trip......
Felt the need for a bunch of miles, which eliminates rides with too much steep.
So a steady climb on the Batavus (9sp RacingT)
I-70 Exit to Mesa (Hwy 65 - east of Palisade) and rode to Vega State Park.
i will edit some pics and post a 2nd grouping.
Wide open, low traffic roads. A river road.
Zero malfunctions.
1908. Survived a lot of cold winters up here. Never saw an elevation posted, but a few wide spots in road for ‘Chain Up area’.

Gentle climb up for 30 miles with tailwind and gentle crosswinds. Gentle descend with afternoon winds increasingly stronger and blustery in the winding canyon spots. Sunscreen, liberally applied was a good idea. Metric century in one 5 hour ride; extra 6 pre-miles gives daily total equal to this year’s age.
Hiding your cell tower in plain sight must have been important at an area sports Park.
Plateau City and Bent Pickle Produce
Almost the Only sign with no bullet holes, faded - but proof one doesn’t crap(?) in one’s own nest.
Colorado has rocky butte outcropping, just not as colorful as some in Utah

I took the Legnano $100 Challenge Project Bike on the Pasadena Velo Retro Vintage rise. Great day to ride 27 miles, nice turnout. Crazy traffic from some Korean teeny bop concert at the Rose Bowl. Good day on the bike though!
