That 41 Refugee thread provides me with newfound BF Hope. I just realized it existed today.

I think it would be nice if the Son of Addiction took on a few of that thread's qualities.

Stuff like this is helpful. But sometimes it gets lost amidst the noise.

yes.. sorry, error on my part.

cassette changes warrant a look at the limit screws, not cable changes.

I wonder if Top Gear is here.

Anyway, if I'm looking towards the back of the bike, I turn it counter clockwise?

Wait, the barrel adjusters on the downtube, or the tension adjuster on the RD?

I've always rotated my tires, especially the Pro3s that wear quickly. This week, a racer friend of mine told me this was a stupid idea. He said he just replaces both at the same time. It seems so wasteful.

Any thoughts?

Is the chain rubbing on the cog to the left (looking at the bike from the rear) or is it trying to jump down to the next cog?

put a new one on the front and move the front one to the back... I think the theory is you always want a good one on the front.

or just replace both.

That's what I've been doing. But he called me a moron, so I started to question my logic.

Tires are expensive when you have to pay for them.

Alright, (looking from the rear of the bike towards the bars) turn the rd barrel adjuster clockwise by 1/4 turn - pedal, if it didn't change enough, go another 1/4 turn.

Edit: for future reference, (from the rear) turning counter-clockwise adds tension, turning clockwise removes tension.
