It's a Scapin KS-25 frame. The tubing was made by Columbus, I understand. Internal lugs, not oversize tubing. Actually, the seat post was 25mm. They made a number of them in a chromovelato finish. I find most Scapin frames attractive, these are no different.

Those are actually a pedal brand called Ultralight Sports - the worlds lightest pedals. They are very rare!

Somebody spent a lot of money to get that thing very light, back in the day

I outed a Motobecane Le Champion on the CR list. It is 59cm according to the original owner and still seems original with the Campagnolo parts , although it sports bar end shifters . A good looking bike for $200. I can’t believe how cheap these classics are going for , but better act quickly as this on is a deal in my opinion. It is listed on the Santa Barbara Craigslist , sorry , no link . Just look at the ads and it should show up if it is still there.

1937 Bicycles $600 Temecula, CA
https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...2442433224880/
The ad claims 1937... they look newer to me, esp the wheels, but I don't know anything about that era. What do y'all think?
From the Seller:
The gray bike is a 1937 Rollfast. I do believe the green one is a 1937 Rollfast as well but the tag says Standard. Either way both bikes are 1937. I’m not a bike expert but both bikes ride nice. I took them to car shows in my old truck and rode them around. Truck has sold just waiting for them to come get it so I’m selling my two bikes. $400 for the grey one. $300 for the green one. Or $600 for both.

I sent an email and it seemed to have gone though. No message or bounce back. I explained that a colleague is trying to get through to them. I don't want to run the price up on you, just in case.
The frame does not have the tight Criterium geometry that was so popular in the '80's. It is just a tad longer in the rear. Similar to the Serotta Club Special that I had a long time ago. A great all around bike geometry that handled great but you could ride all day without feeling beat up.
It is a shame that the seller of the Cuevas didn't pump up the tires before moving the bike around and taking pictures. They also got a shot of the non-drive side. But that is how Craigslist listings go.
By the way, I mentioned to my wife that there was a Cuevas bike on Craigslist for $500, just to dip my toe in the water. She replied that that is a lot of money for a bike. "Ah, yes but it is a Cuevas!" then, "Well it's a good deal on a beautiful bike by an esteemed builder, but it wouldn't be for me." <Sad emoji>

I didn’t realize this had already been outed. It is a great deal and it will be fun to see what Classtime does with it .

Oh, man, that is a shame. Who knows it might pop up again. If I happen to see it again, I will post it again. That goes for any Cuevas.
