i don't really read these (or any) forums much anymore. too much opinionated nitpicking and negativity when folks are just trying to share some enthusiasm... i just drop by to see what's new now and then.

Wonder how well it rides on the flat. There's a train line that runs pretty much from my house to my office. This would be perfect. Except for the trains.

Nice posting. Looks like you can get to areas you can't normally traverse to. I'm a sucker for trestle bridges and a shutterbug. Seems like a perfect match for me.

Read the information posted on YouTube,...Watch the video,...I highly doubt a train would be coming anytime soon.
Is there something wrong with sharing this someplace else in the forum?

I remember watching westerns, as a kid, where people had those railroad track hand cart things (there's a hilarious scene about them in Blazing Saddles,, BTW) and really wanted one for myself, so I understand the appeal of wanting to do something like that. Seemed like it took almost no effort to power those things, at least in the movies.
It just looked really scary in the video above, where people were riding on the elevated bridges, since there's no chance of escape if a train were coming. My imagination is just too vivid perhaps, and plus I didn't care for the music much and I found myself suddenly wishing ill on those people for that reason alone.

My commute takes me over a rail overpass. The tracks are active, with a train there in one or other direction once every few h. During warmer times of the year, from the overpass I can see, with some regularity, a guy who commutes on the track, riding in-between the rails. He rides an MTB, seemingly with suspension and fat tires. The goal appears to be to travel over a shortest route to his destination. He comes off the track still within the range of my sight from the overpass.

?Any adults in the room?
Dangerous and Illegal trespassing of the type that gets appropriate attention.
And just as an aside, doesn't forum have a line about advocating of illegal activity as a part of the your user agreement?
just sayin'
