Yesterday, 3" snow. Today, sunny and 55. Rode 25 miles north. The drivetrain needs some cleaning. The sun dial was only off by an hour. Windy, but only a direct headwind for the last 5 miles. Came home to fresh bread out of the oven.

Out today for a short ride to test a new to me wheelset. Record 32 hubs, Nisi Countach tubular rims and Clement Futurox tires (measured at 21.5mm) with no tread wear - old but not totally rotten. Wheelset also has a narrow 6 speed f/w for the 120 spacing.
Here’s the starting spot.
The neighbor’s shaggy, ...ambling through
Just May Valley on today’s plan. And I ran across Matt P. He took a pic of us.
ohhh, took a couple of shots, post ride, and I like this stem - the faux lug look; and that the chrome still shines well.
I love it when a new wheel slides right in and no adjustments are needed for new freewheel.

Quick spin around with Dlamond
I took the diamondback out for a quick 17 miler. It was before 8 am, mid-50s, and lightly raining. Shockingly, I had the trail to myself!

24 wet, windy miles with some unexpected small hail mixed in. That was rough, but still beats riding the Covid-19 Couch. I pretty much ride solo anyway. Tour of the Lake Cities, north of DFW, TX on my 1976 Motobecane Grand Touring (that needs a serious cleaning after that ride).

I have been sneaking in 20-25 miles a day this week and it feels great. I am really enjoying the SS/fixed Gitane Super Corsa, my most recent project.

Spring is still trying to force its way in here in Virginia. It’s been taking until late afternoon to shake the overnight cold temps. Slightly warmer, getting into low 60’s today with the stiff winds still around. I explored some new routes today, finding a gravel road that spits me out onto the highway about a quarter mile short of the Blue Ridge Parkway. Gonna tuck that away for future epic rides. I still get gobsmacked by how pretty it can be riding around here, although I still get envious seeing all the other beautiful vistas you folks are riding in. 23 miles, 2800 feet climbing today.

My first ride since the second - and bigger - of the two snowstorms to roll through this part of Colorado. With an afternoon hike planned and waiting until after lunch for the temps to climb above 50F, I only had time for a shorter ride, so up to Flagstaff Amphitheater I went.
Here's the view from the last stretch after passing the "Closed Road" gate.
And here's my normal spot at the top to snack before heading home. Did I mention it snowed?
The view from the bench. I had to clear some snow off to sit down, still got a wet butt. Totally worth it.

30+ to City Island and Orchard Beach. Really nice day, and the diminished traffic made it even better.

I second that^^^ SS gitane real nice. Just knocked out a after work ride on the Schwinn. Took a pic on the beach. Zoom in and you can see a barge way out.

No spectacular pix. I rode back out toward Sandy this morning, avoiding US Route 26. The weather was foggy at the start, got to be very drippy fog by the turn around, then dried out on the way back. Just before the turn point, I went down Ten Eyck Road to the Sandy River, then just far enough further that I was actually on Marmot Road for a few feet. I went from Jonsrud Viewpoint:
to Revenue Bridge:
in the space of about 3.5 miles. The return trip up Ten Eyck was about 1.7 miles of average 5% grade with the core being about 8%. That was some climbing for me. I should be ready for Col Du Tower when I get back home.
Finally for you Miami Vice Ironman aficionados, I noticed this:

Nice pictures @curbtender. It was a good day to be out.
I was only able to get out for a short 12-mile out & back sprint to the top of the The Arlington.

Actually , my time has been spent on a trainer stand most days, minimum 1 hour. Had two outdoor rides so my wife could get some exercise, Jazzercise is closed for the duration. Second one was shortened when my chain dropped big to small ring and jammed up while pedaling. Left side is bruised and my elbow looks like a pound of ground round, No pics, I see no need in getting censored for showing gore and wounds
