One of those slow, cloudy, blah Fridays. Wish I could be on the bike but have to be here on standby.

Staying home with a sick kid. I wrote up a bunch of Nancy Drew themed word problems for her. She thinks it's fun but wait till she figures out it's still just math! Sucker.

It's probably one of these:

https://blog.castelli-cycling.com/201...ort-and-speed/

Basically its a skinsuit that has the same advantages a normal jersey has. You can unzip on climbs but.more importantly on 260k races you can releave yourself easily.

I met Tyler this past August in Durango, CO during the pro tour challenge. If nothing else, I can say he has incredible patience.
A few of the garmin boys (Tyler was definitely most notable) stopped at a cafe that I was having coffee at that morning after 12hrs of setting up the course overnight.

Myself and a few other crew members said hi and wished them luck before the vultures swept in. I've never seen so many chubby middle-aged men with so little dignity. Tyler and crew handled it like any other day and posed for 30+ pictures while fielding questions about "performance" hybrids and various tomfoolery. Gained a lot of respect for pros as a whole that day.

Works for me here (in your post too)
sort of. it's a way to piss off the bike without taking the whole thing off.

Hey Caloso, have you done Foxy's Century in Davis??

Wife and I booked out tickets for our fall trip to the Sactown area (friggin aeroplan miles) and we'll be in town for that one...

Fondo rides are not usually our thing due to the sketchiness of riders, but figure it'll be a good way to see the area without needing a tour guide...

It is a cool progressive city... any and every tech business you could imagine has a campus there. I went there once in 2010 for a study abroad program with USF. The 3 flights and 27 hours it takes to get there are not however.

Watching the replay of last night's Supercross and it's a beautiful thing the way that one guy rides the track. It will be on again later for the throttle twisters out there.

I think the rain stopped, I should go ride a bike.

I never have. I always mean to, but it seems like every year, there's either a CX race, a Cal football game, or a kids' soccer game that interferes. I have ridden a lot of those roads, though, and the weather is usually perfect. Warm and sunny, but not too hot.

I really should try to block it out this year.
