20 years ago I crossed the North Cascades Highway at the beginning of June. Nearly 30 miles of climbing with no services, then a 16 mile descent to the next town. At some point it started raining. Rain turned to snow before the first summit. Challenging? Yes. Fun? No. Fortunately, nothing was sticking to the road.

Yowza. It's so much easier to do when you're just going a few miles. LOL. That's quite a ride you had.

NICE PIC!!! I was wondering if anyone in the nicer climates would join in. I haven't seen any old cars lately. It's like full blown winter up here right now. Too early for it. Grrrrrrrr........
There is one of those at a manufacturing place by me, on my way to driving my daughter to work. But nowhere I ride..... LOL. Maybe someone else will have one close. Either that or I'll load up my bike in my trunk and have a go around there. It's on a super busy road though.

There are some oversized animals around here somewhere. I just gotta get the time to get there by bike. The weather here has been wet and chilly, with lots of work thrown in.

So what's the next mission? I think when you post your picture you're supposed to also say what the new mission is.

Yeah, I was just snapping a pic of a big chicken. As it's on a roof, getting the bike up there would have been a trick. I also didn't want to finish my own challenge.
I wanna see something other than my local giant chickens-- there used to be three in the local area, but somebody stole one.

California. There's definitely not lots of weird, big animal statues hanging around where I live. Up in the hoidy toidy part of Milwaukee there are some of these red lawn animals that were kind of popular for a while, but that's way too far away from me now. And that was years ago. I wonder if they still are popular. I think it was a particular artist or something. They were like these red puffy type renderings of horses and such. Looked sort of cartoonish. I used to cut lawns up in that area and then at some point I built home offices / furniture stuff. "The North Shore".
Yeah, hopefully someone can come up with something!!!!

I want to see a giant animal sculpture. The Cabezon dinosaurs are like... 80 miles round trip from me (with about 4,500ft,) and always windy, so I don't wanna ride out there. There is a local giant chicken, though.
Must be larger than life. The chicken is a good 6 footer.

Taken this morning with the Norco as the sun was rising.
Edit to add: If this photo qualifies, then the next mission I request would be a photo of your bike with a police station, sub-station, or "cop shop" behind the bike. A cop shop is one of those small neighborhood police outposts.

Definitely qualifies. That's a pretty big dog. I immediately thought of "dog cat mouse" from The Office.
I don't think police substations are a thing in these parts, so I just did a loop this morning. I'd still like to see pics of antique cars and giant animals. And police stations! Some of ours are pretty boring... I'm looking at you, Colton PD.
The last is definitely the most interesting, built as the Redlands City Hall by the WPA in 1939. Looks almost completely unchanged since it was built.

If those are pics from this morning, I think you need a new mission. Or am I interpreting that you want another statue type animal thingy?

Had to do a double take on the Donut Killer. Kinda "in your face" to the stereotypical cop.

Yeah, but the more varied missions, the more someone else might be able to join. Plus it might take some time to gain traction with other people. But flangehead posted a pic too.
We gotta spin the plates til it hits critical mass. LOL.

I'm guessing the early cold spell has put a slow down on people willing to play. Yesterday, the weather was pretty much back to normal here.

Then you say what you want next...... It should be something attainable for someone on a bike. Like saying the Grand Canyon and your bike might be hard for some of us. LOL. Although there may be some people from Arizona around here.
Oh, and it probably needs to be a picture you go and get. Not one from your archives or in the past. That would sort of be like cheating. Although it's an honor system thing. I'm sure you guys and gals get the point.
