Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Good start for the new year! Loads of interesting builds here!
Sorry, I've been away for a while, just had an insanely busy year.

This is my first build of the year.

Congrats MiloFrance...not many of us mere mortals bikes can look too good being posted after one of nzkiddo's - but yours does

BTW...isn't it time for one of the mods to give nzkiddo a pass to just go ahead and post his own bikes directly to the pr0n thread?

My new Kilo White Trash [WT]
I am setting up as a commuter/townie.
Adding:
flat bar, cross top levers & grips.
wald front basket
freewheel 19T
new chain

I need a new chain and a half link. the track bolts are at the limit of the rear and it looks stupid and dangerous. Due to the size of the tires I have to back the wheels out a bit and I need a half link to make it work properly.

My Edge Cycles (Troy in Fruita era) Foco Mango. Welded by Carl Strong in early 2001, still using the rings from the SSWC in Downieville. Spectrum Powdercoating. King SS hubs (Hope mini 3L x 3T shown), a set of 180mm XT cranks and the bash ring from Surly I forget the name of, thanks to friends in MPLS. Mike F helped me out with a 17t rear, and I still quit at the bbq. Hell of a weekend after Interbike. Oh yeah. The Bike. 2001 White Bros AT3, XTR brakes and mismatched levers. The rim on the CK front is a ceramic 519. Thompson post and stem. 8 speed XT shifter to make people think...

I should ride it more.

the bar looks a bit funny to me but after three or four different tries this one is the most comfortable. This bike is speedy and the one I have the most fun on.
