Seriously, are people here spending a lot of time worrying about their possible causes of death? Unless you're specifically diagnosed with something, sounds like an anxiety disorder.

I don't really worry about my death. Not at all.

But check my pulse rate when I'm swimming 100 yards offshore at the North Carolina coast. Yup. Freaked out...

Probably not news for most people here, but a reminder.

Also, one of the comments on the article says that Teslas, with regenerative braking, get longer life from brake pads. I can't vouch for that, but interesting if true.
I drive a Chevy Volt - plug-in hybrid electric. Comments on the various forums report brake pad life well in excess of 100K miles, so regen makes a difference. But I seriously doubt it that means much in the overall pattern of automotive pollution. Maybe someday, but a lot of other things will have to change too . . . .
