Looking at AirBNB's for an upcoming race. Found one that's $41/night, so I clicked on it. $150 cleaning fee plus other fees makes a $41/night cost $243.
I messaged them in the hopes that they accidentally slipped an extra zero in the cleaning fee and can't figure out why nobody wants to rent the room.

Could be. Or maybe the owners are stoners and mixed up the nightly rate with the cleaning fee. Where is it located. My friend here in Philly gets $150/night for her place. She does pretty well. For big events like the Philly marathon the place is always booked. Forget what the cleaning fee is.

OK. The total price sounds ridiculous. My friend's place can sleep something like 8 people and has parking right in front. The location is also nice. Not in the heart of center city, but close enough to walk there or take the bus.

Yes. Don't listen to anyone that says otherwise.

There are diesels that smoke whenever accelerated because there is something wrong, like leaking injectors, etc., and there are diesels that smoke because the driver has performed a modification to cause it to smoke on demand, such as causing the turbo to overboost. Imagine the thinking of a person who would do this.

All riders racing in the United Arab Emirates will be tested for the virus, while we are awaiting further details from the race organiser RCS.
I get it though. Catching something that serious at this point in the racing calendar would end the entire season for that unfortunate rider/team.

Just got a text back from the Airbnb person with the $150 cleaning fee. Her reply was "yes it is. Thank you"
Whatever. I wished her luck.

Grrrr. I was done with shoe hand-wringing, but shoe hand-wringing wasn't done with me.
Got an email that the shoes are not in stock. Doesn't look like they have the solid white or black in stock in my (presumed) size, either. So now, decisions. Buy solid white or black elsewhere for about the same price? Buy the lace-up white/black for 50 bucks less? Hmmmmm. Maybe bourbon will provide some clarity.

It’s in progress as we speak. I’m sure he’ll get a bunch. I won’t get diddly.
