Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Could be. Or maybe the owners are stoners and mixed up the nightly rate with the cleaning fee. Where is it located. My friend here in Philly gets $150/night for her place. She does pretty well. For big events like the Philly marathon the place is always booked. Forget what the cleaning fee is.

Rural Northern California. If they wanted $150 for what they're offering (tiny place, one room, shared bathroom), they'd be about $90 higher than anything else in the area.

OK. The total price sounds ridiculous. My friend's place can sleep something like 8 people and has parking right in front. The location is also nice. Not in the heart of center city, but close enough to walk there or take the bus.

There must be a mistake, that's ludicrous.

All riders racing in the United Arab Emirates will be tested for the virus, while we are awaiting further details from the race organiser RCS.
Test the most-tested athletes on earth. I bet everyone is extra stoked.

I get it though. Catching something that serious at this point in the racing calendar would end the entire season for that unfortunate rider/team.

Just got a text back from the Airbnb person with the $150 cleaning fee. Her reply was "yes it is. Thank you"

Whatever. I wished her luck.

Is the $150 cleaning fee per stay or per night?

She probably sells small $20 items on eBay with $99 shipping also.

Grrrr. I was done with shoe hand-wringing, but shoe hand-wringing wasn't done with me.

Got an email that the shoes are not in stock. Doesn't look like they have the solid white or black in stock in my (presumed) size, either. So now, decisions. Buy solid white or black elsewhere for about the same price? Buy the lace-up white/black for 50 bucks less? Hmmmmm. Maybe bourbon will provide some clarity.

It’s in progress as we speak. I’m sure he’ll get a bunch. I won’t get diddly.
