Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Measurable, but I'd be surprised if you felt it. It's on the order of the marginal gains you'd rather have in your favor, but not game-changers. A couple of watts for the pair.

But why only on the outside half above the knee, I still have hair on the inside half?

Any theory on what's going on?
I have smaller but similar bald patches there, with no knee inflammation. I always figured it was from rubbing against jeans, but I've barely worn those in years, so it's either permanent or just a place hair follicles have trouble with. Maybe there's not enough bloodflow there?

I certainly wouldn't tell him he's wrong.

I do wish I could just get that gene-expression-blah-blah-blah extended and grow no hair. I'd swim faster and get fewer ingrowns.

And I'd have an excuse to be bald without feeling like a skinhead.

Oh, is that what's going on? After not shopping there for a few years, I noticed that Ribble didn't have much besides bikes and apparel. I ordered my tires from CR, btw; they had a $20 off of $100 promo for newly registered customers.

And now I will attempt to ride an upright bike a few hundred meters, and back again.

Question about recovery. I have started to throw a couple longer rides into the mix and I am noticing that after the longer rides my legs feel weak for days after. More specifically my quads feel weak, and only when I ride my bike. I did 50 miles on wed, took yesterday off and rode again today, and just didn’t feel the power that I usually feel. My quads felt fatigued. This is puzzling because when I do shorter rides 20 to 30 I’m usually cranking really hard, trying to go as fast I can vs the longer rides where I’m taking it easy.
Anything I can do to speed up the recovery time? I try to eat a lot of protein, but I’m currently not using any supplements.

I've had a constant headache since yesterday, slight sinus pressure and need to constantly pop my ears, and this morning I woke up with a swollen lymph node in my neck.

I'm going to be very disappointed if I'm sick this weekend. Supposed to be 45° and sunny on Sunday!

This is one of those days that my coach gives a swim and a bike, so no running. Bah.
