If I'm not into mountain biking...
... Then why am I watching so many mtb videos?
I mean come on! I've been told on this forum before that I ought to get me some professional help, but I just don't think this is the sort of thing I should be bringing to the attention of a shrink! 😁
So, please help!

Maybe because it's fun to watch? I'm not into extreme kayaking (extreme whitewater/rapids, going over waterfalls), but I enjoy watching it. I also enjoy watching mountain biking, and enjoy participating in it also. But I would not be riding the extreme stuff like Red Bull Rampage, but it's fun to watch

Thanks for bringing this up - mtb content on YouTube seems to be strikingly better made, well thought out, and more varied than road content. Compared to mtb, and apart from GCN, what precious little (relatively speaking) good road content tends to be a little harder to find, more straightforward, minimally edited, and rarely deviates from the standard "downhill run with friends" format. Road content feels as though it's geared (no pun intended) primarily towards the creators' inner circles and - just barely - other like minded, hardcore roadies, whereas most mtb content creators seem keen to cater to the broadest possible audience, even to those who don't mtb or have no interest in mtb-ing.
