2006 Gary Fisher re-do, a total take-offs parts bike.
Converted to a 1x9 with a 32t up front. Contemplating a disc wheelset. Dunno. But she shifts like butter, one click, one shift. The parts are off my 2016 Rockhopper. Why keep your take-offs in a box, right? The fork is a rebuilt 2006 Judy TT that I totally overhauled and restored.
Thanks for looking!!

Looks very nice.
Pretty sure that fork is from 2003 or earlier, judging by the shape of the arch and the fact that it has stanchion boots.

Not seeing mounting tabs on the rear seat stay for discs.
Its a thought though.
I’m guessing this bike weighs maybe 27 lbs. You’d pay near $2000 to get that in a new design, thus I’d ride it as is.

It's a nice ride, nothing I'd ever take on a trail, but then again, I remember what I used to ride way back in 1986. Thats back when ships were made from wood and men made from steel. It's just a project using my take off parts rather than having them sitting in a box on the shelf. It will probably be used as a back up when my main bike is down of for the Critical Mass rides we have here in Ft Lauderdale.

I had to find one 10 years ago when I bought a 2003 GF sugar used and wanted to convert it to disc brakes. It wasn't easy to find then.

LOL, the shock fork weighs that!
Got a bunch of supplies coming in, this bike is about to get frame wrapped in satin black.

what you didn't keep the saddle? lol
nice work, the marlin was my first mtb. It's now my kid's college commuter
consider a zero setback seatpost so the stem isn't so slammed. Guess the frame is a bit on the large size?

It’s a 1x9 drivetrain. Not a tall gear at all, not built for a flyer but I can cram in a decent cadence at a comfortable speed for long stretches but the most important part for me is that I can climb some very steep streets without wearing me out. My takeoffs are quick and speedy as needed to get across streets and crosswalks quickly. Easy to raise a front wheel to get over curbs. The geometry is pretty nimble, too. I love this bike and who cares about disc brakes. Hey, at least there’s no quill stem which would be a real showstopper as far as I am concerned. LOL

Disc? I see the fork has mounts, does the frame? And then a new wheel set? Seems to works now for your all purpose rig.

You are correct but I’m just trying not to put anymore into this bike at the moment. I’m about to bite the dust because of this disaster. A bulk of my job deals with cruise lines and travel agencies. Likely sitting at home in 2 weeks, which will not be fun financially. Maybe after this is all over.
I love this bike, great fit and goes wherever you point it. Took a spin with the wife today to get out and get some wind therapy. Stopped by the grocer on the way home with a 90 lb haul of grub on this bike, it became a tail-sitter after we loaded up but when I got on to ride, I hardly knew I was packing! I lost a little speed on the top gear but handled like a champ.

Update this week. Hand positions for days. I can sit up for sightseeing and to catch a breath or get down on the drops to avoid wind. Rides so sweet.
